Simulation-based education provides opportunities to ensure that dietetics students at all levels can gain hands-on experience with patient types that are not always readily available in practicum settings. As programs transition to the 2022 standards, the additional experiential learning opportunities afforded by simulation will be increasingly valuable. This session highlights how simulation can be incorporated into dietetics curriculum with a variety of budgets.

Learning Objectives
- Plan simulation-based laboratories for students at all levels, including SBE best practices, such as pre-briefing and debriefing sessions
- Justify adding simulation equipment and resources to existing dietetics programs
- Develop simulation activities to teach required knowledge and competency requirements of the 2022 ACEND standards
