Empowering Dietitians: Bridging the Gap in Clinical Nutrition Support Skills

Your Price $10.00 - $54.00

Enhancing our most vital assets – join us on a journey to promote advancement of the clinical nutrition support skill set among dietitians. Changes to entry-level requirements for RDNs have delayed the flow of clinicians into the field and left a gap in the clinical ladder.

Additionally, the current healthcare environment has seen a more competitive labor market with greater turnover rates resulting in patient safety concerns. An increased need for training and competency evaluation of nutrition support providers has been identified within Trinity Health acute care organizations.

Through the Critical Care Subcommittee within Trinity Health Clinical Nutrition, competency evaluation tools for both enteral and parenteral nutrition have been developed. Supportive networks and learning libraries have also been established to ensure provider competency where gaps occur.

Strategies to promote dietitians pursuing advanced credentials, such as the Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential, through system-wide training and study groups will also be provided.
