Nutrition status of the patient with a neurological disorder can be directly or indirectly impacted by a variety of symptoms and complications associated with the disorder. A decline in nutritional intake can delay rehabilitation or accelerate the progression of the disease and lead to increased morbidity and mortality. Therefore, it is essential for early detection through a thorough nutrition assessment and implementation of appropriate nutritional interventions. In this session we will discuss the impact of nutrition in the various stages of Parkinson's Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer's Disease and Huntington's Disease.
