Climate change, conflict, and the COVID-19 pandemic are impeding progress towards global food security and achievement of the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as increasing the need for food and nutrition humanitarian assistance. During this session, a food system disruption analysis framework will be presented and applied to better anticipate disruptions that may negatively impact food security and food systems, and to better target humanitarian assistance and relief. Nutrition and dietetics practitioners will leave this session with resources on how to become involved in food systems resilience planning and how to participate in food and nutrition humanitarian assistance efforts.
