The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Center for Lifelong Learning developed this course in partnership with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, funded by a grant from Walmart. The funder was not involved in content creation, nor did it serve in an advisory capacity.

The Excelling in the Retail Food Industry Certificate of Training consists of five modules designed to build a strong foundation for new retail RDNs or those interesting in shifting to a career in food retail and while enhancing business skills and food industry knowledge for all RDNs. Completion of the certificate will prepare you for professional success as you explore opportunities within the food retail industry while ensuring your understanding of the key priorities that frame the varied and changing functions of a food retailer. It will also familiarize you with food retail terminology and strengthen your development of key business, marketing, and communication skills beyond your RDN credential.

This Certificate of Training provides you the opportunity to learn from expert retail dietitian nutritionists through engaging videos and interactive activities that allow you to practice what you've learned.
