Updated to reflect the 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the front side of this client handout addresses how to use a plate to plan meals and features a healthy plate in the center based on MyPlate along with other examples of healthy plates along the side, including vegetarian and Mediterranean. Space to fill in client goals is included. The opposite side of the handout includes tips for choosing healthy options from each MyPlate food group and offers a place to create a customized meal plan using the plate method.
