This session is designed to empower you to apply your unique, science-based nutrition expertise across social media platforms in order to communicate sound nutrition information while elevating your individual and our collective online presence as the qualified nutrition experts.

With the rise in use of these medications, it is critical for RDNs to know how to advocate among their interdisciplinary colleagues for referral to an RDN to counsel on the optimal use of the medications including efforts to minimize side effects, maximize retention of lean body mass, maintain adequate nutrient intake, and offer counseling to assure long term healthy lifestyle habits.

This session will explore the unique challenges of this life stage; identify key, modifiable behavioral risk factors; and discuss contemporary nutrition-based intervention strategies that positively impact adolescent health and well-being during this critical life stage.
